For example, as part of our company, we are a member of the UN Global Compact Lead Group and collaborate with other business units and companies to share best practices that guide corporate behaviour in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. In the World Economic Forum’s Partnership Against Corruption Initiative (PACI), we work with industry peers to promote responsible business practices.
We are working towards reducing the impact of our business activities on the environment through the responsible use of resources in our offices and warehouses. We also promote best practices in carbon reduction with our customers, suppliers and partners. In the Clean Cargo Working Group, we help set accurate industry standards for measuring our customers’ international supply chain carbon footprint. PortMatch BV develops practical solutions that enable our customers to simultaneously remove waste, reduce cost, and minimise environmental impacts in their supply chains.
PortMatch BV also has several Corporate Social Responsibility activities that we believe are not only a prerequisite to be a corporate citizen, but also present opportunities to engage our employees and communities. Our activities include services in Logistics Emergency Teams disaster relief, and volunteering and fund-raising for community-focused initiatives.
